This electronic field trip features noted conservationists and other scientists who lead this exciting journey into endangered species refuges. These experts engage students with a presentation on habitat protection and restoration as well as partnership conservation programs that bring together community, industry and wildlife agencies. Students will learn how and why Mason Neck National Refuge was established to protect the most well-known endangered species-the bald eagle. America's symbol soars the skies today because of efforts at Mason Neck to preserve this bird's nesting, feeding and roosting habitat.
