Researchers and scientists joined Dr. William Sladen at Airlie Environmental Center in Virginia to visually teach students about the unique programs underway to help migratory birds. Included are the innovative experiments with ultralight aircraft which have brought the whooping crane back from extinction, as seen in the movie Fly Away Home. The program focuses on the problems associated with migration and loss of habitat.
